The 1-meter wide elevator: a space-saving solution

A client from Tallai Gold Coast enquired online about a lift installation in a limited area and came to our showroom in Brisbane to discuss creating a solution to fit a lift in a limited space with our technical consultant.

The homeowner was renovating and including a new entry foyer and staircase, and wanting to use the old stair space for a 3 stop lift.

The available space is only one meter wide.

We were able to come up with the Flex-e model which was made exclusively for such applications and made the Flex-e a bespoke solution.

The screw-driven indoor lift is a glass panel with 3 landings, a platform dimension of 570 x 1400mm. Aluminium doors and manual opening.
Additional ceiling lights were added and a ramp.

Get to know Flex-e Elevator

The operation principle of Flex-e Home Lift is based on the screw self-locking gear. The engine is mounted on the platform itself and rotates a threaded nut, which moves along the stationary screw, this way lifting the platform.

The shaft is constructed on the basis of an anodized aluminium frame interconnected with the panels of a client’s choice. Multi-layered sandwich panels and laminated glass panels come as a standard.

A maximum of three doors may be installed on each floor with either left or right swing. The doors on the top floor stop may be designed in the form of gates. This type of construction looks aesthetic and modern and gives a clear view of the surroundings. At the request of the client, the platform and panels may be painted in any RAL scale colour. The Flex-e standard colour is RAL9006 (white aluminium).
