Important and Urgent changes to your Lift and Emergency Phone Line!

We would like to inform you about some important and urgent changes to your lift that could effect the safety and performance.

Australia’s telecommunication network is phasing out the 3G network.

Any device that is on this network, including the compatible GSM will need to be upgraded from 3G to 4G GSM.

If you have supplied and managed your own sim card, we need to ensure that your current GSM device is securely connected to the network. To comply with Australia Standards, it is crucial that this emergency phone line, sim card and GSM remain active with a seamless connection to function properly.

To ensure safety, we suggest upgrading your 4G GSM now.

This will facilitate and ensure that safety of your lift, and prompt assistance in case of trapped passengers.

Starting on 1st August 2023, Direct Lifts will prioritise customers in need of GSM upgrade assistance. During the inspection, our technician will check components of the lift to ensure it’s safe to operate and can conduct a routine maintenance service at the same time.
