Which limited mobility lift is right for me?
It depends on the user’s needs, the number of levels and the building. As a guide: the Cube is a compact 2-person air-driven home lift for 2–3 level homes (up to 3 stops), ideal for people who walk with aids and want a quick, low-impact install. The Air is an air-driven glass lift reaching up to 5 levels, available in a wheelchair-accessible model. The V-Range DDA is a DDA-compliant platform lift (400 kg) for wheelchair access in homes, commercial and public buildings. The Linea DDA is a fully enclosed accessible cabin lift carrying up to 450 kg across up to 6 levels — our most flexible option for multi-storey and public-access projects. Are your lifts suitable for wheelchair users?
Yes. The V-Range DDA (400 kg platform, purpose-built to Australia’s DDA standards) and the Linea DDA (enclosed cabin with automatic sliding doors for easy entry and exit) are both designed for wheelchair use. The Air is also available in a wheelchair-accessible model. The Cube is certified for 2 passengers and best suits people who are mobile with a walking aid rather than wheelchair users, due to its compact cabin.
What does DDA compliant mean?
DDA refers to the Disability Discrimination Act. In practice, compliance is demonstrated through Australian Standards such as AS 1735.12, AS 1735.16 and AS 1428.1, alongside EN 81-41 and the National Construction Code. Our V-Range DDA and Linea DDA are engineered to these requirements, including illuminated braille buttons, uninterrupted handrails, correct clearances, dual control panels and emergency communication. For commercial and public projects, we work alongside your architect, builder, access consultant and certifier to confirm the right configuration.
Do limited mobility lifts need a pit, shaft or machine room?
The Cube and Air need no pit, no shaft and no machine room. They are self-supporting and rest on the existing finished floor. The V-Range DDA needs only a low 100 mm pit (or none at all with a ramp), has no machine room, and comes with its own glass, steel or aluminium shaft. The Linea DDA requires a shallow pit (from 100 mm) and can integrate into masonry, stud-framed, glazed or metal shafts, or be supplied with our own frame.
How many levels can a limited mobility lift travel?
The Cube travels up to 3 stops (10.7 m), the Air up to 5 stops, the V-Range DDA up to 3 stops (6 m), and the Linea DDA up to 6 stops (12 m).
Can these lifts be installed outdoors?
The V-Range DDA and Linea DDA are both rated for indoor or outdoor installation (the Linea with a weather-rated frame). The Cube and Air are designed for indoor residential use.
How long does installation take?
The self-supporting Cube and Air are typically installed in just 2 to 3 days with minimal construction. The V-Range DDA and Linea DDA involve a shaft or structure and a custom design stage, so the timeframe is confirmed after a site survey. On-site installation generally runs 1 to 2 weeks once the site is ready.
Is a limited mobility lift GST exempt?
A lift may be GST-free when it is installed for a person with a disability or a medical need. A letter from a doctor is generally required. Eligibility depends on your circumstances, so we recommend confirming with the ATO or your accountant. More info: https://www.ato.gov.au
Can I get NDIS funding for a lift?
Some people are eligible for NDIS support toward a limited mobility lift, either partially or fully, where the impairment is permanent and significantly affects daily participation. Do I need an emergency phone line for my lift?
Yes. Under Australian standard AS 1735 and NCC E3.6, all lifts (except stairlifts) must have an active emergency phone that can be answered by a help centre 24/7. We can supply and include this monitoring as part of your lift package.
What door options are available?
Generally two types: swing doors (manual or automatic opening) and automatic sliding doors. Automatic sliding doors, like those on the Linea DDA, make entry and exit easier for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. All our lifts carry at least a 12-month warranty from the date of commissioning or handover, with extended cover available on some models when a preventative maintenance agreement is in place.
