Direct Lifts Australia recently completed a fully concealed, four-level Linea home lift in one of Australia’s premier residences on Jefferson Lane, Palm Beach, QLD. The standout feature is what you don’t see — behind custom timber joinery over each landing door sits a premium Italian cabin, so the lift disappears completely into the home’s architectural finishes.

The brief called for seamless integration rather than a visible lift. Working in close collaboration with the builder and designer, the landing doors were clad in bespoke joinery that matches the surrounding timber walls exactly — the lift reads as just another panel in the hallway until it’s called. The Linea’s flexible, made-to-measure design and compact site requirements made it the right fit for a project where every finish had to line up.

The result is a minimalist, contemporary cabin finished in black glass with DMG Italy fixtures throughout, travelling quietly across all four floors. It’s a great example of luxury home lifts becoming an integral part of high-end residential design — proof that the best engineering is often the engineering you don’t notice.
